Multicast Join Prune functionality doubt

Fri Sep 06, 2013 2:21 am

Hi

Lest say I-1 best path and I-2 second best, if we change the cost of I-2 and make that as best path, i am sure that it will send join to I-2, but will it send prune to the upstream router on I-1?

Could anyone please clarify this?

Thanks,
Aswin
