it looks like the AP is looking for a controller to download the image from. If it can't boot. the attempts to download should eventually time out and put you into ROMMON mode, you should be able to XMODEM an autonomous image to the AP and boot manually. you can get the image at cisco.com

Looks like you've pressed the reset button or for any other reason ended up in system recovery mode. You'll need to put up an tftp with the file its looking for.

I was gonna say that, and after looking at the file names, the files being looked for are missing the version number, and with the .default extension, I would supposed that the WLC is performing some file massaging and possibly changing the file format for automatic deployment to the AP, so I went with the other solution.

Nah thats just the filename the AP tries to autodownload during system recovery, its used for example to convert a lightweight AP to autonomous or the other way. You'll have to connect a computer to the LAN port, put it anywhere in 10.0.0.0/24 except .1, rename the real AP image file to ap3g1-k9w7-tar.default and start a tftp server. Any IP will do since its actually broadcasting for the tftp server;
process_config_recovery: set IP address and config to default 10.0.0.1
process_config_recovery: image recovery
image_recovery: Download default IOS tar image tftp://255.255.255.255/ap3g1-k9w7-tar.default

Dear All thanks for the replies.. I did the following steps exiting the ROMMON but again i have the same issue..all of the firewall is disabled..

Step 1 The static IP address of the PC on which your TFTP server software runs should be between 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.30.

Step 2 Make sure that the PC contains the access point image file (such as c1200-k9w7-tar.122-15.JA.tar for a 1200 series access point) in the TFTP server folder and that the TFTP server is activated.

Step 3 Set the timeout value on the TFTP server to 30 seconds.

Step 4 On the PC where the TFTP server is located, perform these steps:

a. Disable any software firewall products, such as Windows firewall, ZoneAlarm firewall, McAffee firewall, or others.

b. Ensure all Windows files are visible. From Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options > View; then uncheck the Hide extensions for known file types check box.

Step 5 Rename the access point image file in the TFTP server folder to c1200-k9w7-tar.default for a 1200 series access point, c1130-k9w7-tar.default for an 1130 series access point, c1240-k9w7-tar.default for a 1240 series access point, and c1250-k9w7-tar.default for a 1250 series access point.

Step 6 Connect the PC to the access point using a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.

Step 7 Disconnect power from the access point.

Step 8 Press and hold MODE while you reconnect power to the access point.

Step 9 Hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds) and then release.

Step 10 Wait until the access point reboots, as indicated by all LEDs turning green followed by the Status LED blinking green.

But did you rename the file to ap3g1-k9w7-tar.default? That is the file it is looking for.

Since you get "no such file out directory" and not time out I'd triple check the file name and make sure it's in the right path at the tftp-server.

Step 6 Connect the PC to the access point using a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.

Do you have a switch between the AP and PC? If not, are you using a crossover cable and not a straight-through if you are following this step literally?
