Tera Term Excel Hyperlink

Tue Feb 28, 2006 12:30 pm

I am trying to create a cell in Excel that hyperlinks to Tera Term on the local hard disk and includes the IP address that I want to telnet to. I can create the hyperlink to Tera Term and pull up the app but I can't seem to include the IP address...any ideas?

If Tera Term is the default telnet application then all you need to do is put "telnet:<ip address>" in the address field.

I thought about that but couldn't figure out how to make it the default Telnet app. Any idea?

This should do the trick. Just replace the app they are talking about with Tera Term.

Again, I know I'm a little late (and I did know how to solve it :( ) here but for anyone who may read this...

Try Teraterm. Great app and it kills hyperterm ;)
