Packet Tracer Now Officially Available for Everyone

Sat Apr 02, 2016 10:46 am

The news that you have all been waiting for! Well some anyway.
There is now a free version of Cisco Packet Tracer that everyone (not Just Cisco Networking Academy students and instructors) can download and use.
Go to https://www.netacad.com/about-networkin ... et-tracer/
Read all the information; I know that you won't, so here's a summary:
(1) Packet Tracer for Windows or Linux - click the first Sign Up button, complete the Packet Tracer 101 self-paced online course, and then download it.
(And before you ask, no there is not a Mac version, Mac users need to run it using Wine, see the info files here https://www.facebook.com/groups/packettracermac/ )
(2) Packet Tracer for Android or iOS - click the second Sign Up button, create a free Cisco Networking academy account, complete the Packet Tracer 101 self-paced online course, and then download it.
And before you complain about the software and any (perceived) limitations remember how much you paid for it, so enjoy!
