CCNP Route exam

Tue Sep 02, 2014 1:36 am

Hi all,

First of all I want to ask you guys which study guides are best for CCNP route? I use CBTnuggets and INE to learn, but besides that I also want a good book to learn from.

Second question: I took CCNP switch v1 as first exam, but in the meanwhile Cisco released v2. After 01/2015 v1 exams are deleted, so you have no other option as taking v2 exams. Is this a problem to complete CCNP certification?

Thanks in advance.

The date given is the date from when you can't take that particular exam any longer.
If you pass the exam before that time its valid for its lifetime (3years) and will still count towards your CCNP during that time.

Get the OCG or FLG from Cisco Press.

The only problem I have seen so far is that the new TSHOOT is made up of material from the new ROUTE and SWITCH so you will need to make sure that you cover material from the new ROUTE subject matter before taking the new TSHOOT.

For the old exams, I have read through the FLG and they were pretty good. I might be reading the OCG soon for my review for the recert.
