BGP understanding problem

Thu Mar 30, 2017 9:57 am

Hi all,

I have a BGP understanding problem. I have two simultaneous internet connections which are used for separate services but they are both online, so no active/standby.

I need to configure EBGP and I understand that I will get a AS (Autonomous System) number which I have to configure on my router.

In my case I will have two routers, each for one of the connections. Can I use the same AS on both routers when I enable BGP? Or can i use one AS only on one Router?

Thanks for your help
Markus
